This typical Frisian herb bitter dates all the way back to 1883. In all these years, the recipe, the taste and the quality of the ingredients have all remained unchanged. No compromises.
Our distiller still makes our typical Frisian herb bitter according to the same traditional methods. Fourteen herbs are steeped for at least two months which, in the right proportions, results in an unmistakable full and spicy flavour, with hints of gentian, juniper berries, liquorice and bay leaf, among others. Delicious straight or mixed in a strong cocktail.

35 ml Boomsma Dry Gin
35 ml Boomsma Beerenburger
35 ml red vermouth
1 orange slice
Stir the ingredients together in a mixing glass with plenty of ice, until the cocktail is well chilled, but not too diluted. Pour the mixture into a tumbler glass filled with ice. Garnish with a slice of orange.
