Our first Single Malt Whisky has reached its ultimate taste after 7 years of maturation in ex American bourbon casks and makes it a beautiful glass to really enjoy.
In 2016 we started working with a local Frisian beer brewery to develop the perfect basis for a new whisky. This mash of 100% barley and whisky yeast has undergone a temperature-controlled fermentation for more than 72 hours. We then distilled the resulting wort twice in our own copper Pot Still. After maturing for 7 years in ex American bourbon casks, the whisky has reached its ultimate taste.
On the occasion of our 140th anniversary, we bottled the first release in 2200 numbered bottles.
Boomsma Whisky has a sparkling light gold color. Enjoy a fruity fragrance palette in which apricot and citrus fruit unmistakably predominate but are subtly interwoven with vanilla, fudge and wood tones. Soft and smooth in taste with toffee, vanilla, banana, grain and wood. The refined aftertaste is elegant and refined.
Serve Boomsma Dutch Single Malt Whisky in a beautiful glass, pure, with possibly a drop of spring water to let the refined aromas flourish.
